Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman from America. She is the controlling owner of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and currently acts as the association's president. Buss was born in California and grew up an heir to a prestigious family. Jerry Buss' father was a real-estate magnate who was later a part owner of the Lakers and other sports companies. Her feelings of abandonment were heightened as her parents divorced in 1972. She joined the family business when she was 19 and became the general manager of the Los Angeles Strings tennis team. Later, she established an organization called the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. She was the president at the Great Western Forum, before becoming Vice president for the Lakers. Buss inherited Lakers ownership Lakers through her father's estate in 2013. The five siblings she had were the inheritors through a family estate trust. Buss was elected in 2013 to take charge for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss was also a partner in the ownership of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling association).
